Strange Things

Today I created 12 different postcards. I printed labels (from images found on flickr) and placed them on real LP record pieces. They are hard to scan, but here is an example:

I scored each LP with a knife and snapped of the excess on a table edge. These suckers are heavy and will cost extra postage to mail. It will be interesting to see how well they hold up in the mail.

I made this postcard for a ROBOTS mail-art call.

There, Now I've Said It

Today I modified eight gallery cards from the 2009 Victoria RPM show I was in. I am sending them to some of my mail-art friends. Guess you can tell I'm having fun with these.

ad postcard modified with wacky stickers

My old printer that was producing my perforated artistamps has officially died. Now I'll be making stickers instead. I purchased 1000 sheets of 8.5 x 11 inch glossy labels and they print beautifully with my Epson inkjet.

I modified these postcards with some of the new stickers.

Stickers

I just spent the big bucks for 1000 sheets of high gloss sticker paper to use with my Epson inkjet printer. I'm producing tons of stickers from new and old wackystuff.

I'm not slapping these stickers on walls and telephone poles. Besides sticking them on my mail-art, I'm using them as design elements on postcards and Artist Trading Cards.

Who says you can't slap a sticker on a piece of cardboard and call it an ATC?

I slapped some of my new wacky stickers
on top of advertising cards, improving them IMHO.

mail-art heading out

I sent this digitally collaged postcard to a Beatles or not Beatles? mail-art call in France. With all the hoopla about Michael Jackson lately, John Lennon was way more important to me.

I sent this inkjet printed postcard to the 2009 T.A.R.O.T. Project. I forgot to scan the address side. This call asks for the stamps and address to be on the illustrated side of your creation.
I made the front and back the same, partially covering the art with my labels and stamps.
